Introduction: DPSA

The DPSA (Department of Public Service and Administration) is a federal agency in charge of the management of the public sector. The Minister of Public Service and Administration has responsibility for the agency. The department’s core responsibilities include recruiting and appointing staff to the public service, managing their terms and conditions of employment, providing instruction to improve their qualifications, formulating public service policy and legislation, and ensuring that the public service is handled efficiently, effectively, and ethically.

DPSA Vacancies

Except in December, the DPSA Circular is released weekly and includes advertising for empty positions and employment in government departments. The Department of Public Service and Administration issues the Circular, but it is not responsible for the substance of the commercials. Any questions regarding a particular commercial should be directed to the appropriate publicity agency.

The Public Service Vacancy Circular reminds public employees of job openings in the government. Persons who are not Public Service workers but are interested in the advertised vacancies should first check with the publicity department to see if they are eligible to apply. The Circular contains the contact information for the advertisement agencies. Before accepting your application, certain agencies, such as the Department of Defense, might require you to undergo a medical review.

How To Apply DPSA Jobs

1) Applications on form Z83 with full details of the applicant’s preparation, credentials, competencies, skills, and experience (on a different sheet if required or a CV) must be sent to the department where the vacancy(s) exists (s). You will also be asked to provide approved copies of your educational credentials, identification papers, and other personal documents to the government.

2) In their submissions, applicants must have the vacancy’s reference number.

3) Applicants seeking more information about an advertised position may contact the agency where the vacancy is located. Such records should not be sought from the Department of Public Service and Administration.

4) It is necessary to ensure that proposals meet the appropriate advertisement offices on or before the deadlines.

While the recruiting and hiring process varies by agency, the goal is to achieve it in the shortest amount of time available.
